Individual therapy
Whether you are seeking guidance for your family, your own healing journey, or in your relationships, Melissa is here to walk you through growth and healing one step at a time.
HEALING A FAMILY STARTS WITH YOU
We can learn all the things, take all the courses, read all the books, go to all the Yoga classes, AND STILL feel like we can't quite figure out how to apply in real life.
We then are hard on ourselves. Like we should know how to do it by now. Like our life should be less chaotic and stressful. Like our kids should be better behaved and we shouldn't still be yelling to get their attention. So many shoulds!
That is where your own individual therapy comes in!
Healing is hard work and doesn’t happen overnight. Melissa Pemberton is a trauma-aware therapist who works with individuals who have experienced trauma, as well as parents/caregivers and families who are raising children who have experienced adversity or trauma. She has experience working with families in the child welfare system since 2005 and is trained in a variety of trauma-aware curriculums. Melissa seeks to help families who are struggling with compassion fatigue, secondary trauma, childhood trauma, and difficulties with big behaviors.
Therapy is not a one size fits all,
so with Melissa’s help, you will identify which approach makes the most sense and feels the safest for your own personal journey.
